Everyday Kenpo

by McGonagle

Hiya KK,

This is just for you. Use it wisely; remember: a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Deep in the labyrinthine caverns of Mount McGonagle I came upon a old chest with fragments of rare manuscripts. I thought this one might interest you:

"principles of american kenpo applied to everyday activities" by Ed Parker

My advanced theories, concepts and principles have been of great help to practitioners of American Kenpo, and it only makes sense that, if the principles can give a deeper understanding of motion to an advanced martial artist, they would be of even greater benefit to the average person....

...try this technique to enhance your ambulatory skill:
ALTERNATING BRANCHES (Purple 6)
Begin with both feet comfortably on the ground facing 12 O'clock. Step forward to 12 with your right foot, and, using Marriage of Gravity, keep that foot planted firmly on the ground while you immediately and without hesitation, step forward with your left foot to 12 o'clock. Repeat three times, paying close attention to the proper height, width, and depth of your stance. Do not cross the toe-heel line.
(Extension: 1st Brown 6: after the third repetition, deviate your angle of stride to 1:30 for two steps, and then back to 11:30 for two steps, then repeat to 12 O'clock. Application: avoidance of obstacles directly in your path)

...try this technique the next time you have an itch:
REPEATING CLAW (Green 12)
Using the Tiger's Claw, apply your fingertips to the area of the percieved itch. Move your fingertips from 3 to 9 O'clock, paying careful attention to acheiving the proper depth of penetration and angle of incidence. Then, immediately and without hesitation, reverse your angle of delivery returning your Claw hand to its starting position. Repeat three times. (Advanced version: only after you have mastered the above technique, try this: use just ONE finger...be careful, however: it requires greater accuracy!)

...only your imagination will limit utilization of the various angles, planes and paths of travel contained in the Universal Pattern for enhancement of the intimate relationship between man and wife. For example,

There's more, but a guy has to have SOME secrets!
